Went to get diesel there from shell, using my shell cashback credit card, 3% on fuel, double that for the 1st 60 days.

'That card is declined, we see that a lot with them'
It's a shell credit card though

Thanks, I smell a scam, i'll expect them to start working just about the time the last of 60 day double cashback period ends

Capital One cashback card seems pretty good.

If you have a read on the money saving expert site you will see how stupid the requirements to get one of them are.

Capital one can't beat 3% on fuel though if the shell one actually worked.

They can for the first 3 months

Yeah, I noticed the requirements are pretty extortionate. Their 0% balance transfers & purchases is till August '08 though on the non cashback cards

I've had my Shell Citi card through and used it twice already - seems absolutely fine. And 6% off fuel is pretty damn good.

You also get 2% off all other purchases so I bought a PS3 on it
