Anyone got them?
How much do they normally cost?
I've got an astigmatism in my right eye, so I don't know if I can have them, but I'm bored with having glasses now.

Providing the astigmatism isn't too bad then you will be able to get 'toric' contact lenses which are designed for that. Some people will find contact lenses very comfortable for long periods of time others like me have always struggled to find them confortable.
The cost depends on what type you have and astigmatism. Astigmatism will put the price up slightly straight off.
You can get a monthly disposable contact lens where you have one pair per month and clean them after each time you use them. They will be cheapest maybe £12 per month.
Continuous wear contacts, not too sure on price but I think they will be a medium price.
Daily disposable can be more confortable when you first put them in but due to being very thin they can also lose moisture quite quickly. I have just started using focus dailies' toric lenses and have found them more comfortable than the budget monthly disposables. They are more expensive but again it depends how many pairs a month you want to use. I have astigmatism in both eyes and just buy them as I use them in batches of 30 at a cost of £39. I dont wear them every day, clearly if you did it would be £39 a month! Having said that, if you have astigmatism in only one eye the cost should be reduced.

Monthly - £12 per month.
Had them for about 8 years, never had a problem. I wear them all day, everyday.
On a weekend that can be from 10AM - 6AM.
Highly reccomended.

That's loads less than I expected to be honest.
I think I'll have to make an appointment with my optician and see what they can do then.

£15 a month from specsavers for all day and night lenses.
a lot more practical than other types
thing that impresses me most with lenses is that rust and shit falling into your eyes when lying under cars doesnt seem to upset them, in fact id say they protect your eyes from damage caused by stuff like that!

i pay £60 for 90 days worth of contact lenses
not very good if you are working long hours though as when you get tired they tend to sting your eyes.

As Robin says, it's costs a fair bit of cash to have your eyes lazered. The thing that worries me is what if it goes wrong. Your eyes are fucked then.

I pay £26 for 30 pairs mate with Boots.
I don't have the standard ones though because of my job i needed ones that lasted a bit longer in workshop conditions so i have Focus Dalies which are a little bit thicker but stay comfertable for A LOT longer
Also a pay £13 a month for the Vision plan which includes free eye tests/care etc and get a free set of contacts every 2 months.
