I can get one of these with about a 430 litre/hour flow rate and all the attatchments from Wickes for cheap, is it too powerfull to use on my car or will it be fine with a bit attention paid while washing?

Personally, i'd never use a pressure washer on the car

Hose maybe, but everything else is hand done

Mite just get it anyway for other non car related duties. If it gets used in a car i'll just stand far back

You can turn the intensity of the water jet down by fanning it with the attachment on the end. That way you get the high speed water flow, but with no damaging effects.

Are they not specialist power washers set to a low power setting ?

Most valeters i've seen use them just to rinse the car....

I use a big viking power washer that we use to wash lorries and trailers.

Use it on my cars, mates car, dads car etc etc and never had a problem. And it is powerful, just dont go too close
