hi i just tryed starting my car as i havent started it in a few weeks and the battery was dead,tryed jump starting it with my gf car but as soon as i turned it on the alarm went off which its only a standard gsi alarm.why is the alarm going off for?do i need a new battery?

The alarm will go off if it was set before it went flat. Charge battery and turn alarm off. Job done

anyone alse know as each time i jump start my car the alarm goes off when the jump leads are connected.

as the alarm is going off lock then un lock the door and open it turns off the alarm. its not rocket science

yea but its got a dead battery and the central locking isnt working and it ent letting me turn it off

open the door with the key
open bonnet
jump leads on
key in door
lock
unlock
open door
keep the jump leads on while doing it
it should turn the alarm off
