Moving in to new house in January, just the bathroom needs replacing and few bits here and there. Basically i'm wanting a double ended bath, preferably steel as i've been told they are stronger, but wondering if acrylic would be ok? but don't want to spend a fortune, seen one with out taps/waste for £190, unless anyone knows anywhere cheaper?

I'm thinking of wall mounting the taps, either by digging a channel up and plastering/tiling over or boxing the pipes in and tiling over, if i did the latter there will be a gap around the edge of the bath, and not sure whether i will want to have a shower over the bath or have a seperate cubicle if i can fit one in.

You could also build out the whole wall. My mate did this to get pipes behind a sink cabinent and also sunk cabinents in to the upper section so it looks like four mirrors on the wall next to each other but they're all cupboards. Works quite well if you've room to do it. Also easier to work on should you develop any problems.

just chase the wall out, wrap the pipes in insulation tape though, will stop the lime in the mortar / plaster corroding them
