Oooo... special tool? Im gunna hand my car over to my mechcanic to do it... but do I need to inform him of this I wonder, its the first Clio dCi cambelt he's done.

Dunno, it might be worth checking.

Could just be a load of TRIPE fed to us from Renault though. I know my mates engine blew up because the Fuel Injection Pump went, and the mechanic that changed the belt on the new engine had to get some sort of tool.

i think you do need the renault tool, to make sure you get the timeing right on it,its just makes sure its locked into place so you dont move the timeing
