I do tbh.
Out of the three, i'd take the Clio, but I like high revving NA engines. For me personnally, the Clio would fit the bill. Good brakes, good standard suspension setup, very direct drive and you know what the cars doing.
VXR is a great little car, quick, and it does handle fairly ok, but from reports, its a little lifeless. I'd assume that to be like driving a Focus ST (and the mild boring drive) then getting in an Astra VXR.
I wouldn't buy a Mini at all. Just not me. Theres only one proper mini, and it was built by the english, in England, and only had a 1275cc engine
Not driven either 3 cars, just read LOTS of motoring press about both the clio and Corsa. Assuming my info is based on these various reports.

TRUST me Corsa is a better drive than Astra.

Astra isn't a great drive tbh. Its a little laggy, gets majorly effected by the weather (heat, shes f-ing flying atm). In the wet its un-nerving and skittish. On track its a very good car, in the real world its average. Not many options, no cup holders (grrr thats just stupid). But as we don't pay for sh1t on ours, its not all bad
We overfill the astra boot when shopping. Corsa wouldn't help at all.
Not only that, im getting old, small cars are becoming less appealing to me now.
You can drive the astra and feel ok. I'd drive the corsa and feel like a rich chav. As SetH said, too much stick on tat.
Like the Clio as is more subtle, better options, not as in your face, but still faster on track.

Not defending, just informing the uneducated idiots that make assumptions from the way it looks to how it drives.
Get a grip.

Hence why i've clearly stated my opinions are from various motoring press mags and from visual looks.

Are we? Everyone is narrow minded bar you is what your saying?
They say we are blind to our own faults...........
Im not narrow minded at all. I think you should re-read whats written by myself and point out any area that is narrow minded. I've put my reasons.
But frankly, im not assed, its a £16k Corsa, something i'd never ever ever pay out for. Its a good little car, in the top 2 in its category, but for me, the clio offers the better things for what I want from a car.
Turbo's are fun, but I still like high revving 4 pots. More controllable.
