I'm using a Harman Kardon Ipod "Drive and Play" device on my car.
Basically it allows me to plug my Ipod in as an aux input to my headunit, and provides a small screen to emulate the ipod menus and a small control knob to skip through tracks, playlists, etc.
Now inbetween tracks when no music is playing - there is a faint buzzing sound coming from the speakers, and strangely enough, when I take my foot off of the accelerator, the buzzing fades away, almost asif something is picking up vibrations from the engine and is causing an electronic buzzing sound (sounds like a badly tuned radio)...
I can't tell you exactly how the kit is wired in, since I didn't touch the wiring but Its not particularly annoying, just got me curious.

Any ideas?

It's interference. You can get that when you run power cables and phono cables too close when running an amp and stuff.

Just make sure there is no cut wires or something that are shorting out on the car somewhere.

Buy a group loop isolator and see if that cures the problem. I had interferece through my stereo and one of these cured it.
