how does the gear knob come of as i cant get mine off, it turns just dosent come off

and could someone show me some pics of aftermarket gear knobs so i can see how th lift up part looks

and if someone has a pic with the knob off

twist it and pull it like f*ck and it will come off mate.

if you dont want to bugger your gear knob the propper way of removing it is to take the gear leaver completely out and put the knob end in some bloody hot water so it heats itself up this will allow the knob to come off easely!

no need for a hacksaw m8 just twist n pull like hell
worked for my old corsa, got into the habit of pulling my knob
(couldnt resist woooop)

i heated mine up with a hair dryer and then just twisted it off. was easy.

only 2 good ways

1 heat it and pull
2 pull like fuk

either way sit in back and do it, and keep your face back cause its almost garenteed to knock out a few teeth if it hits you lol

well the method i used was on a r reg 1.4 8v which had the newer style bumpers. never tried for the older style

on my post 97 (R reg) Corsa i removed the plastic top detailing where the gears are. then attack it with a sharp knife. the "leather" effect is just a hard foam....cut mine away til it was all gone..... strongly suggest newspaper to catch the swarf that falls, its a bastard to vacuum up!
