Yup, can still keep PAS, but from memory, it needs re-locating. (don't quote me on that).
Don't forget you will need the speedo ring to adjust the F28. Again, can't remember, but if you just put in the F28 the speedo is WELL off (like doing 70mph, and showing 30mph). Needs to be changed.
Chip upgrades are pretty much that. Plug and play chips that go in the ECU. It can be adjusted to suit the car as well giving a little more power.
If your not going mental custom manifolds etc etc, then its the cheapest and simplest way to get just under 300bhp. It'll be plenty for a while.

If you can afford it get EPAS from either a corsa or saxo, will not draw much power from the engine

hopefully I'l get round the PAS problem because i wanna keep it.
I'm not worried about the speedo drive.
tbh It'l probably be staying standard when it goes in then when I get more cash together upping the power, what sortof price are those chips?
also does the LET work well with cams and verniers?

XE inlet cam does the job i think.
tbh, for LET tuning, i'd pop to Migweb and ask.
I'd really suggest getting the speedo drive done before it goes in, otherwise its a gearbox out again job. Do it before it goes in as it will really really wind you up when your driving.
I think its jsut a case of changing the ring for another coloured one which works. Can't remember what though We had to get SBD to do ours when Carisma screwed up the clutch n flywheel 2-3 days before going to Germany (of which we still didn't go as my car caught on fire, donnas brake lines snapped, then the IC pipes burst, something was telling us not to go ).

yeah everything will be getting done before the engine goes in to try to prevent future stumbling blocks.
fro - I have a feeling I may get a speeding ticket or 2 lol
when you buy a LET do you get the intercooler with it? can you get a better intercooler?

It should come with a standard intercooler. Its smaller than a keyboard in width
You can buy IC's that fit. We got ours custom made to our requirements (jsut made a template). Works out more expensive, but a superb job.
Probably worth asking the LET owners on here about pre-fitting IC's for the Corsa B. Im sure theres a few knocking around now, but unsure what.

how hard is it to do a rear disk conversion? I thought you had to swap the axle.

Ash, try to use the standard oil cooler. With the aftermarket one, you need lots of other parts and connectors to connet it up. I wanted on on my XE but found out there was loads of silly assed expensive bits needed.
I should have just fitted the standard oil cooler.

big end bearings are the rod ones mate, you need a set of big ends and main bearings which are the ones on the crank main journals
As for the hoses you would be better off leaving the ones mentioned as standed as silicone ones will only look pritty. i would suggest using silicone boost hose instead as it will help them not to colapse,
youl prob need a oil and water pump as a matter of principle and a timing kit. there goes another few hundrud quid
polished rocker cover is also a waste of money imo. apart from that sounds good. should also budget for some phase chips. i would say evo5 and adjustble fpr, a fuel pump, arp rod bolts and plugs and leads with your spec
consider a diff aswell
prob need a new clutch assembly and maybe a flywheel as the pot ones tend to crack
budget just went up
