Sure its been asked before but who cares. Never really thought would buy a corsa again, but got bit of money lying around, was going to sell my car now and buy a sensible diesel, but then started thinkin whats the point, keep car and have a toy.

But basically all wanna know is it a fairly big job to do conversion? Got bit of knowledge about mechanics and got few mates who are mechanics so not a problem that way but is it easier/cheaper to buy one already done (could be a bodge job though???) or just get a corsa and then calibra/cavalier and swap parts across, or buy all parts serperatly?

It's up to you mate, when I finally have enough money to even start thinking about a 2.0L Corsa I will be in same boat...

I've been told that if you want the conversion done yourself then you will probs get "teething" problems - and therefore you should buy one done.

But on the other side buying one already done there "should" be no hassle with the conversion (if done by a trusted seller!)

but like I said up to you mate

Have a look thru the projects mate, I've just done 1. Quite easy / straight forward really as everything bolts in well. Obviously you do run into little problems but nowt that can't be sorted. Think the gear linkage is about the biggest problem (well it is for me!)

what's the difference from the engine being in a cav and using it every day or the engine being in a corsa and using it everyday
