The game between Liverpool and Besiktas is being investigated for potential match fixing.

One betting firm took a lot of bets on a high scoring game.

What would happen to liverpool, besiktas, the game if this is true?

Fines? Kicked out of champs league? Match replayed?

Simple truth is that Besiktas were very poor. Not taking the result away from Liverpool. They totally out classed them.

AND TBH Ive seen teams come to Anfield (aswell as teams to OT, Emirates, etc.) and play ALOT worse than that but not get taken for 8 goals.

already had this in the champions league with marseile in 92/93


they where flung out and put to the lowest division so i would assume the same would happen to any guilty team

Yes Edd despite milian even wanting the final to be replayed with us instead of just giving them the trophey.

I would imagine nowadays with the money involved in football it would not be as bad as the punishment then though.

After all bribing of refs by the wops was not treated as badly.

But then if its an english team, no doubt UEFA will punish the whole preimier league.

im not contesting it as my memory of 93 is pretty vague...all i know is that the milan team of the late 80's early 90's was the best its been (til now lol) - just didnt realise rangers had a good team that year

what players did they have?
