New photos and progress. Plumber starts next weekend and electrician should be in this week.
Bathroom and Bedroom furniture is on order for delivery at the start of January. Got a log burning stove coming in mid January as well so it's moving on.
First found these on the camera

I've had a side extension built so far, this is the wall at the back of the lean-to which has come down and a new side extension built in its place. Just need to get the windows in a put the new roof on which also forms the new side garage!
Under some of the windows there was a yellow and grey brick which didn't match the house so I've had that knocked out and replaced with the same brick as the house now

Don't know yet, best mate runs a plumbing firm, he's bringing everything over next weekend and we should hopefully have all the upstairs and feeds to the downstairs done next week

I'm hoping to submit plans at the start of christmas and get it completely finished for mid 2008.
Bathroom and Bedroom will be in by mid January though so at least we can start stopping over at weekends and get more done.
Just order this:

did you need RSJ's to support the load baring walls that you took out?
we've just had a BAXI combi fitted with wireless remote. Mum&Dad had te same one fitted 4weeks ago, the house is like an oven, water red hot and hot water tap has the same pressure now as the cold tap
good work btw.

Belt and braces really; The walls weren't actually load bearing. They were carrying nothing.
The only load bearing wall was the one which stuck out into the living room from the left hand side of picture 3. This carries the only load bearing joist to span the width of the house. It's this joist which carries the upstairs floor joists. All of the upstairs internal walls are stud; downstairs are all block.
However just to be sure, where the old wall stood, we've got a Catnic box lintel spanning the gap - although looking at it it seems unnecessary as it's carrying nothing and there's no wall above it.
Boiler and radiators all went in on Saturday, upstairs all being plumbed in today
