Good topic this;

Leeds Love parade 2000 - camisra Vs Mauro Picotto - let me show you Lizard, Such a sureal day said to be near on 200,000 people in a park in leeds, dancing away at the front of a float and this came on, 2 awesome tracks moulded to make a monster.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAZssCZUC-4

2002 - tiffany - I think we are alone now, used to play it at the local "club" that me and the missus went to in early stages of our relationship so adopted as one of our songs,

2003 - First year in ibiza, this filtered house track was on of the tunes that changed me and a mates music preference from trance and hard house, to a slower more house vibe, Robbie Rivera - Sex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0cRIvcVb1U
&
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd9Z_MwzBgw it just won't do from same period.

2004 Jamiroqui - deeper underground, my bro had borrowed a car off his mate, a vectra sporty one, black, all tinted with a decent soundsystem, and just continued to play the intro really loud, as it proper kicks in suddenly

2007 - Depeche Mode - Enjoy the silence - El salon in Space, one of our mates dj'ing, all friends together, he used to drop this and it was so emotive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-sHdC0eVnc he played a bit faster version, sounds better slightly pitched.

Come 2000 you became 60 years old ya dick. You bemoan drugs then inadvertantly chastise the reason why music writing became poor....the legality of hallucinogenic substances.

Songs that come to mind, can't really be bothered going in to it:

Prefab Sprout : The King Of Rock N Roll
Depeche Mode : Enjoy The Silence - BEST SONG EVER
The Farm : No Mans Land
The La's : There She Goes
Shed Seven : Where Have You Been Tonight
Therapy : Nowhere
Queen : Pretty much everything

May edit later.
