Hi anyone that can help i will be grateful, i bought a new switch the centre one with the pull back for rear heated screen) from vaux, and it fused switch 17 when ever i turned it over so it was fusing the instrument panel too, i removed the switch but is there anything im doing wrong? do i need to return it or just alter something?

is the plug on the rite way??? thats the only way its goin to fuse is if the earth is connected to live

this is the fan switch iirc...if its blowing fuses it could possibly be down to a jammed fan motor. whip the fan out and check nothing has got lodged in it and the motor still turns freely

it worked though with the old one, the switch would work to increase blowing etc but it fused electrics

its quite impossible to fit it upside down i assure you

is the correct size fuse fitted?
Is the switch correct?
have you trapped a wire anywhere when putting it back together?

the clip that holds the heated rear switch bit broke off becuase i got angry and pulled the whole thing, breaking all three switch clips

dont think so defo the right 10a fuse, switch is 90535951, dont think i trappe a wire due to the old one working fine
