Don't these players hire security etc? Surely worth it, what's saying they couldn't have kidnapped his family and asked for a ransome?! I'd bell it up like fort knox if I was a rich famous person as family nabbing must surely be a risk.

Yeah, Im guessing they will be now. I actually think the club is intending to do so from what I can tell.

TBH though the guy is on £120k a week or something stupid. So even if it cost £2k a week to have 1 or 2 guys around 24/7 you'd do so.

Well you read things about pikey's nicking a Renault 5 for a few hundred quid ransome so why not take someone's wife/kid? Theres plenty of sickos/desperate scag/prossie addicts out there that could do with a life times worth of dirty whores and drugs.

What sort of security do these guys have? Going on the sort of value of the goods inside his house (pics been all over the net) I can't see why they would not have a very good alarm all linked to the police station
