at the moment dual cards are fairly poor for gaming, and from the reviews Ive seen of dual card systems they are generally outperformed by higher specced singled card systems.

If you are running two 42" screens then I'd imagine the GTX is your only choice. Otherwise I'd consider the new GTS, this article on it is fairly good...

42" plasma will probably only be 1024x768, thats not too hard to run, a gts will run at that res no probs.

If you go Radeon then tests of 2 x HD 3870's look promising.

A single HD 3870 is just about as good if not better in most areas, than the older HD2900 and is nearly half the price.

Waiting for the overclocked Gecube version to come out then am getting 2 for approx £320.

There is already a bios release for them to push them close to 900Mhz each.

in gaming though they arent really much use, not with current games anyway. You are much much better off going with one great one rather than 2 good ones.

Dunno but my xmas games list includes:

Crysis, HL Orange Box and Unreal Tournament 3. Some higher bench marks have been gained with SLi or Crossfire with these newer games.

Crysis is the only one I have seen mentioned that MAY take a slight advantage from a mutlicard setup, but even so its not really going to be much of a jump above two good cards when compared to one great card.

If it was me I really wouldnt bother with a multicard setup until the next gen of them are released and games are really taking advantage of them.

Multi monitor dont work in SLI, so you wont be doing that.

Either way, how high is the res on the screen? The size of them means nothing at all.
