No strict 100k interval and tensioning in between can cost up to 2k at some places.

Not really going to be an exciting drive though...is it

Id imagine the novalty of having something big & American will wear off after about 1.5 miles

Had 3 of the cars in your shortlist......

M3 Evo - Fuckin hated it! Im biased so dont ask my opinion on them! Haha!

Subaru P1 - Great car, loved mine! Fast and reliable but a bit sterile! Not always how quick you get down a slippery country lane but how much fun you have doing it! May as well have been on the Playstation!

TVR - Got a Tuscan RR at the moment with 400+ bhp on a good day! Again I love it, fast, looks great and the noise with the decats!!! Bit unreliable but you have got to expect it! A real weekend toy though, not had mine out for weeks! Last time I did get it out though a new M3 was added to the kill list!

Tough decesion Id say, you will need deep pockets for the TVR (as well as a lot of patience!!!)

Good luck

Are TVRs really that bad for going wrong and being expensive to fix?
Ideally wana be able to have a car i can take out in the wet aswell as the dry and not have to worry.

Try 10-12k for a genuine one with no rust and with cam belt done.

A year ago you could pick them up for around 7ish but no more

On the last track day I went on these were the quickest things out there by far. One truly iconic car IMO

apart from a blue 1600 nova

vx220 Turbo...

TVR will be a dog for 15k, and it'll give you reliabilty issues. The other's on your list are heavy big cars.

A vx220 is a lightweight good nimble sports car - and the turbo version gives it the power to match the handling!
