Its a type R not an R type, to be honest you will struggle to get anything competitve on a classic import STi. I can insure a classic UK turbo for £650 fc, 22 4 years n.c.b, but an import is around £1700 which is too much, anything over a grand is too much in my opinion.

My old WRX cost me £850, i'm 21. Think it was with bell, it depends alot on where you live aswell. High risk/Low risk areas!
I can't insure a type r for less than 1800.

ive read on another forum somewhere that the government only let a certain amount of type rs to be imported. so people simply told the government its a gl just to get in into the country.
