Author Heater Fans Not Working.....?

The heater fans on my astra have stopped working, well they work but only when i go over a bump etc and when they do work say if it was on speed 4 it will change from speed 2,3 and 4 and if its on speed 2 it sometimes goes on speed 4..... asif it has a mind of its own Any help would be great.

Im thinking either a relay playing up, or a Resistor
