My friends acer laptop has stoped showing the onscreen volume control
she is running XP i have tried changing the Show All Volume OSD key and to 1 but it still dosent show
any help please

doesn't actually need to be showing tbh, it still works, its just another application clogging the memory really. Have you reinstalled xp or anything?
You need to download I think its eManager for whichever model you have from the acer support site here http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html

Yep she has the most upto date one but i will get her to reinstall this and see if it works.
i have told her that its not needed but she used to have it but now dosent so wants it back
