Hi all,

On the eco-tec (1.4) what type of paint is reccommended to paint it as would like to but due to excessive heat and all i personally doubt normal paint would be up to the task!

Any advice on this would be great!

Cheers

The inlet manifold gets so hot on these because of the heated throttle, bypass that and it wont be anywhere near as hot

If you take the throttle out there are 2 water pipes to it, one is fed from the engine (cant remember exactly where, its been ages!) and the other goes to the top of the header tank. ust extend the water supply one and run it straight to the header tank, the same place the water used to go but now doesnt go through the throttle

the water feed to the throttle isnt going to be the cause of a warm inlet manifold. I would leave the pipes well alone tbh!

the water is at 90+ degrees so it wont cool it, most people never reconnect them (me included) when they fit better inlets so it certainly does no harm. the colder the better!
