SSN just reporting that Newcastle and Pompey are thrashing out a compo package

I think given time he'll do a fairly good job for them, fans just need to be patient and understand they are not going to break the big four overnight.

Be good for the toon, if he does.

But given time Big Sam would have turned the team around, although he did start moving players into unknown positions to them.

I'm really not sure on about this appointment, however I can only hope that if he signs he is sucessful and Ashley finally empties those deep pockets of his and backs his first choice sucessor

Probably not because he will lose his first game then it'll be "Redknapp out!, Redknapp out!"

like he hasn't taken portsmouth anywhere

Might take you to some sort of winning ways or on a consistent run

I bet you wouldn't settle for less than like mourinho or someone eh

I'm not saying he hasn't done good things at portsmouth. Obviously Id love to see Mourinho come in and I think he'd thrive on the atmosphere of managing newcastle but its not going to happen.
Personally I think we should be going for a coach thats done well on the continent

From bbc sport:
There has been some early dissent from Newcastle supporters, who do not regard him as "big" enough to manage the club.

As mentioned in a previous post I would maybe consider someone temporary until the summer when there will be more options available

I still cannot understand why we sacked Allardyce with out already having someone lined up, it simply defies logic
