Having a nosey around on Flickr I came across some really good fisheye shots, one of the users had an adapter for his normal 58mm lense, I think its this one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Opteka-HD-22x-Fisheye-Lens-for-ALL-Canon-EOS-Cameras_W0QQitemZ360013993489QQihZ023QQcategoryZ4687QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m122

anyone ever used an adapter such as this?
they seem relatively cheap, does that mean they're crap?

The problem with them is you get the image contained within a circle and black all round the edges.

A proper fisheye like Nikons 10.5 doesnt have that and looks a million times better.

That Adaptor

I guess, pretty sure you can get a real fish eye but they are out of my price range.

I wouldn't buy one. All these gimmicky gadgets just aren't worth the money.

Jonny, can you recommend a fisheye lens that will fit my Canon? nothing to extravagant. Just something I can aim for.

Not too sure about Canon stuff, Hoddo. More of a nikon man myself.

Just look for a lens somewhere around the 10mm range and that will give the fisheye effect
