cd player has bin playing up the past few days, it'll be playing at normal volume then all of a sudden the volume will go really quiet and the screen comes up with ATT ON then goes to ATT OFF then comes back to normal volume. what the hell is wrong with it??

went out of garantee about 3 months ago lol.

cd player is a sony cdx gt200

sounds to me like you have a short circuit on the telephone mute circuit (the blue wire i think) if you pull the cd player out it should be labled, make sure there are no bare wires anywhere. hope this helps

Either the ATT button is stuck (if you had one) or the above, the blue telephone mute wire is earthing out on something?

Blue is usually the remote wire.

Blue/white seems to be standard for the remote now, ATT is normally solid blue. Vaires of course though

They are always labeled, look for the one with "Tel" or "ATT" or "Mute" on it etc .
