ive got a kenwood unit and the ipod adaptor...works well and sounds good ...basically works by plugging into the CD changer socket, and works exactly like a cd changer would...with each playlist appearing as a disc
EDIT: I have the 7031 headunit but cant find them on the net anymore

Ive bought the sony head unit for £150 Gt50 or something which has a cable built into the back so you control tracks though the head unit its self or the remote.
Oh and whats the point in having a remote?........... apart from annoying other people when you change their music in traffic jams! lol

Ive got a pioneer one im more then happy with, Was £129 from C.A.D
Connects to the ipod and is controllanble through the unit. Charges it too
I think you can buy an add on for steering wheel controls if you want aswell for your C if it has them.
I will get the model number if you want
