I've just bought a written off calibra turbo with the intention of fitting the engine into my corsa.
I plan to complete it over a few months and would definately be needing help as I go along so though it would be best to start a thread now.
My first problem is what conversion parts to buy?
I know I need an f28 2wd conversion kit, and chassis strengthening plates. But it's all the rest of it that's confusing me. I also want to keep my power steering so I know I need the power steering bracket.
What other bits do I need and what can be recycled of the calibra?
Thanks in advance.

if you want to do it proper, there is the full kit you can buy from lmf vauxhall, regal, chris astlet etc which comes with shafts, hubs, engine and gearbox mounts. you will need the cv's from the calibra and wheel bearings i'm sure. if your using the 6 speed f28 the old gearbox mount will need drilled out and the new f28 mount welded on, also the clutch on the f28 is hydraulic not cable so i think you need the calibra clutch master cylinder from that, you can use the calibra clocks aswell if you want.

The thing is I emailed chris and he gave me two different prices, one £349 and the other £625 with practically the same stuff in the kits.

there is no welding required 2 any ov the mounts as ther all direct fitment apart from the 1 above which is just drilling and tapping u can use all 4 cv joints off the calibra and the down pipe ic pipe work altho some ov it may require altering its not a bad job realy wen u get into it

I'm doing it on my drive though!
I got a new fmic and universal boost piping with the calibra so should hopefully be able to use that.
What about the radiator? Is the 1.6 sport rad sufficient enough?
