As above, been driving four years last october. Am i allowed to pull a car trailor? if not what do i need to take? cheers

so long as you have a full license you can tow up to a certain weight. it should be on the back of your license

not too sure on the law.its changed alot lately.think you have to take a test as silly as it is

can toe a max of 750kg iirc

i've been driving 7, nearly 8 year's and cant even toe a car on a trailer on my licence

Aslong as everything inc your car is no more that 3.5tons your ok.

The problem you have is the car needs to out weight the item being towed.
So if you have a big car like a Volvo, Mondeo etc thats weights a goot 1.7 tons a good trailer (brian james) about 800kg, which leaves to a ton (should be less as stated above) to put on the trailer.

The key to be able to tow (as i havent got it on my licence) is having a very light trailer which is very hard to find.

I have a Volvo V70 T5 weight 1800kg trailer weights 300kg with leaves me 1.5 tons on the trailer to be legal and safe...

i passed in june 2003 and i have to sit an extra test if i want to tow anything.

get a towing a frame or a dolly instead of a trailer as the weight of them is next to nothing a good sized towing car as said above and you should be ok what car you towing ?

no u dont a cat b allows you to tow upto 750 kg or over as long as car, trailer and load combined dont go over 3500kg
