well i want to bring a nice black colour back to my bumpers, what do i do?? have been told back to black is rubbish, so was thinking of attacking it with satin black paint from good old halfrauds. what else do i need? do i need to rub them down (if so what with) for the paint to stick?
thankyou

dont knock it till you've tried it.

IMO back to black works a treat. give it a go first (for the sake of a couple of quid), see how it turns out

black to black, its more than likely they have had some form of silocon on them in the past, and therefore will be a fuckwit to paint

I use some carplan stuff on my bumpers its like a waxy texture and looks like coloured t-cut from the bottle.

I just top it up every few months. this photo has not been tweaked on light levels just desaturated background meaning the bumper is as the photo was taken.

edit: this is the stuff:

agreed graham, I'd say the aerosol stuff is shit, it attracts dust and once it gets wet it looks shit.

one thing I do recommend if ya get the carplan black trim wax, is to get some red hot soapy water and clean down the trim you want to wax, then rinse it again with boiling water.
