Apparently the Vostro can be upgraded to the 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT but for love nor money can I find anywhere that sells Graphics Cards for Laptops!

Built onto the motherboard, has to be upgraded when buying or you need a new board.

Ok, cheers. I'll be sticking with the Intel GMA3100 then, stealing 386mb of my System RAM.

The system decides how much memory it's taking itself, you can't change it.

I read that you can allocate 386mb of system RAM for usage by graphics card?

System decides itself, with 3 gig of ram it'll probably use the full 386 meg though.

Won't option for the onboard graphics be in the bios? - usually you have the option of how much ram to allocate to the graphics card
