There are 7 girls in a bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats
For every big cat there are 7 little cats
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

7*2=14
7*4=28
7*7=49 49*4= 196

238legs

was 10990 correct?

I just can't believe there's such a differing of answers...

sand_eel, are you just ignoring half the question on purpose... that in each back pack there are 7 big cats and for every big cat there's 7 small ones?

7(girls)x7(bags)x7(large cats)x7(small cats)x4(legs for each cat) = 9604

9604+14(girls legs) = 9618 legs

What about the bus driver, is this a trick question

I don't yet know if I'm correct yet, but your little sum above just works out the legs on the little cats... and not the normal cats.

add the 1372 legs from the 343 Big cats and you get 10990
