Can you colour code door handles on a corsa B, i spoke to some bloke who has a body shop and he said he thinks the plastic has some sort of solvent init that will make the paint flake when i wash it,,,,,

more than likely he's talking about products used on them to make them black plastic again e.g. autoglym bumper care, causes paint to go shitty when sprayed up.

needs lots of prep work to get right.

rub them down properly, clean them with white spirits to get all the greas, and dirt off them, plastic prime them and your away, will be fine.

As Ben says, they would need to be stripped of dirt/car products etc, rubbed down and primed with plastic primer

I think colour coded plastic bits is too much in my opinion I reckon they break the paint up nicely, although my colour coded boot surround looks

tbh - looks a damn site better than grey trim

I did my boot lock surround and my heater dial surround and its worked fine. 8 months on and no flaking or anything, even on the boot lock surround. The only thing is i took a bit off the surround but only becuase I was inpatient and tried to it it when it wasn't properly dried, but its not noticable.
