I've found a Nova local to me thats in mint condition and is cheap as a project.
I have a 1.4 16v Corsa SRI that i'm going to take to bits as its beyond repair.
What i want to know is whether the engine will be a straight fit, as in, just transfer everything from the Corsa to the Nova (mounts etc) ??

i think if the nova is an sri or gsi the shafts will fit

Think it may go onto the existing Nova mounts, but not 100% tbh.
Will needs stuff like fuel pump too, speedos maybe differently driven.

I have the full corsa, so i can swap everything over if needs be. Just wondered if the engine mounted with the Corsa mounts into the same position as the Nova mount points in the bay

i'm 90% sure you can just put it in, or swap engine mounts, but i'm sure you don't need any custom parts

Use the nova OHC 8v engine mounts.
Corsa ones wont fit.
ANY nova shafts will fit the 1400 16v gearbox.
You will have to mod the exhaust front pipe to fit.
And wire in the transponder/immobiliser system as well as the usual wiring.
You'll need a different alternator belt, to remove the ac/pas too.
Apart from that it goes straight in.

The Nova i'm getting is a 1.2 8v anyway, so i can use the mounts from that? The drive shafts from the Corsa should be ok to use shouldn't they?

What gearbox is on that Nova Jimmy?

Yes you can use the mounts from the 1.2 8v nova engine.
No the corsashafts wont fit, there too long.
Just use the standard nova ones.
Im using std nova 1.2 shafts with my 1600 16v
