As per another thread, I need a new HDD.
My motherboard is quite old, and takes a SATA HDD. All the new SATA ones I seem to find are SATA II.
Am I right in thinking the SATA II HDD will work in my system, but at SATA I speeds?

i.e. the same theory as a USB2.0 pen drive working in a 1.1 system, but at 1.1 speeds?
