Utter bollox mate
I told him that theory and he let me take it for a quick blast to try and pass the emissions part at least, he did a re test as soon as i got back and it didnt do anything.
Really duno what to do now, think im just gonna have to fork out £110 for a new cat

think you find it takes longer than a quick blast for teh cat to really operate
I think they are trying to fob you off myself
Injectro cleaner and good hammering etc should bring the emissions down.
Did they plug the probe properly in the exhaust etc
My mate is an MOT tester and its took him 40 minutes at time to get a car through on emissions
Technically the car should apss from cold start but persistance normally works
No way should you need a new cat

Whats wrong with the headlamp? If it's just insecure then it's more than likely a plastic clip at the bottom has fallen out.

yeah them little white clips usually snap and cause the headlight to rattle abit as schlumpfy said. my mate works at vaux so i get them for free but apparently vaux charge a fortune to fit them because its an mot fail but it takes seconds to do lol.
