My dads partner dosnt even know how to turn a computer on and has decided that she wants to learn how to do it.
So I was thinking about tracking down a second hand laptop to wipe clean and put XP on then I can teach her from fresh. Where would I best look for one at around £50? Would it even be worth looking at for that sort of cash?

ebay mate.. I got a fair tidy spec for 100 so im sure ul get a basic one for £50

even if you picked up something old with 98 or ME, surely that would be capable enough to learn basics on before progressing to something bigger. I learnt most of what I know on 95 and thats lasted me up to XP. (Vista has changed a fair bit lol - and i'm not sure i like it yet)
