Hi Folks,
I have just aquired a P reg 1.4 corsa for my daughter as her first car. I need to replace two CV joints and a rear wheel bearing. Will I need special tools ? any tips on process would be appreciated,

Hi Martin,
Rear wheel bearing is a really easy job - I did mine in a few minutes. I did mine at the same time as overhauling the rear brakes. Only specialist bit was having the raisers pressed into the drums. I left that to a local garage for a fiver and then chucked it all back together.
CV's are nice and easy too. You replacing inners and outers?? Or are you just doing the boots? Mine eats them being a 2.0 Is just a fiddly dirty job. I use a couple of screwdrivers to prise apart the retaining clip then get a mate to pull on the driveshaft. It's easier that way I find. Also the clips used to hold the CV boot can be a right arse to refit - I tend to use cable ties Job's a goodun' haha.
