just tried wiring a cigarette lighter. got a wire from the + of the battery and then grounded to some bolt in the engine. but it doesnt work! i guess that its not working cos i havent grounded it properly? where is the best place to ground it? and i cant find the wires anywhere in the loom. cheers

isnt that hard to run a wire back to the battery, thats what i did

dont even need go back to the battery. thiers a permanent live off the headunit

i ran a wire back to the battery and its connected fine. will the earth cause a problem?

so say i can use the earth from the headunit and the live from the headunit? oh and the +ive is the point at the end isnt it?
