Hi guys just fitting my koni rear shocks and i was just wondering do i need to keep the metal tube thats in the rubber mount (that fixes into the inner arch) as the top silver thread bar is 2 large to fit in the metal tube

ALSO how tight should the top mounts (nut on the thread bar) in the boot be tightened????

same here, can you move your shock a little? from side to side i mean. i just cant see how you fit that metal tube, i could with my g-max, but the shaft on the avo`s is to thick for that tube to fit

should use the 2 rubber bushes and metal plates that come with the koni rear shocks, not the standard rubbers.

as for the rubbing, sounds like contact between the tyre and something static?

topmounts should be done up until the bushes are slightly compressed but not so that the top nut bottoms out on the threads.

hi Dave, i think the rubbing might be the tyre on the shock rotector sleeve so annoying tho,lol

yeah i used the koni top mount rubbers and plate (were same as the ones on there, lol)

just take the wheel off and look for signs of contact between tyre and shock cover, sounds like something simple to me.
