Right got a nice bilstein B10 kit sitting here for a few days and have wednesday off so planning on fitting it myself...BUT!...
Haynes have confused me lol...I believe i know how to replace the dampers and springs but reading through i tell me that when replacing the rear springs the brake pressure regulating valve needs unhooking...and will put the brakes lines under enough strain to cause a leak...dont fancy bleeding the system and it turning into a right mess!
so im looking for help also...dont need anything other than the spanners and spring compressors...also do halfords do these??? (lee could tell me im sure) lol
all help would be great...dont fancy the mess and need the car on the road really

If you have bought a spring and damper kit you wont need spring compressors etc.
What you could do with is a good jack

dont need to touch the brakes mate.
the rear is very simple to do, just need a few spanners, some swan neck spanners and some spring compresors and jack and axle stands

Yes you will, you will need to remove the top mounts off the old struts so you can refit them to car.
If you haven't done it before, try to get somebody who has to help you - mate etc.
I had never done it before, so got a friend to help - since had the front struts off twice on my own, and changed the springs/topmounts etc.
Have fun!

no you dont have to replace the bolts, the haynes manual also says that you have to take the front bumper off to get the headlights out but you dont so not everything in there is true
