ive got a 1994 l reg corsa and my camshaft has worn, ive been quoted £350-£400 for a kit and to be fitted, i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if its worth having it done.
and does anyone know if i keep driving the car will it do alot more damage?

i had this problem with my M reg 1.4 SOHC. top end became very noisy but i didnt take notice untill it started loosing alot of power throughout the rev range and missfiring.

i basically bought a camshaft & followers for £70 odd and decided to fit myself.
its not the easiest of things to do when you have no knowlegde of working on engines.

it would be much cheaper getting another head

im also usng alot of petrol, is this because of the camshaft.

thanks for all help i just took it to the garage and had a new one fitted cost me £350
