oh behave, i knew if this topic was going to come on here then it would be you that posted it paul i soo predicted it last night.
as John Smeaton said in the sun yesterday ,he never asked for any of this he was he just done what he thought was the right thing to do & was made out to be a hero by the press ,when he was asked to go to see the queen his reply was ,when are we all going & was told it would be just him,so as he said what am i supposed to do tell the Queen to stick it?
he was not the first to sell his story & was not in it for the money ,the dude that is doing all the complaining was & got fuck all ,just rewards in this case
shows how shit the country is when a dude does something good he is cunt

Iv allways said its been a bit OTT, ok he 'tackled a terrorist' but anyone there at that time would of done the same, its a joke how he gets all this recognition when theres people out there risking their lives everyday, people like soldiers, police men, fire fighters deserve the recognition he has had. He's milked it far too much, but fair play to him.

How the fuck was he a hero anyway?
All he did is apparently kick a guy that was on fire?

taken from another forum which i thought was a peach of a post
------------------
For the record, John Smeaton has been entirely honest about what he did that day from the get go. He stuck the boot in, he wasn't the only one, he helped pull someone away. Then he gave some fucking great quotes.
He's never made any claims beyond that and he's a genuinely decent guy.
The Sun have latched onto him as their Hero Monkey and this is the Daily Record's lazy retaliation because the silly bastard with the shite kicking technique can't make his payments this month.
Anyone thinking that this is any kind of expose and not just a game of tabloid tit-for-tat needs to really get a grip of themselves.
For anyone who might be interested:

Also I heard the original recording from this and it's goddamn hilarious - he loves playing Halo 3 online "Ah'm like that: mon then ya bastards" and so on

To be fair he never asked to be heralded as the hero, the tabloids done it off the back of the 1 interview where he used some fruity Glaswegian banter and it's gathered pace from there!

chuck norris would always win the fight
best chuck joke..
Chuck Norris is not hung like a horse... horses are hung like Chuck Norris Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly to his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly after all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths.
