Ok if i was to buy a xbox off someone and it fucked up the next week or so and had 9 months warranty left at gamestation could i take it in and get another one or this one fixed?

depends what you mean by fucked up. I bought mine off ebay, and 7 months later it got the red lights. Simply contacted microsoft, sent it by UPS to Havant and i got sent a brand new one.
If its some other fault that doesnt kill it you would need your receipt but you should be fine

Yes if it has warranty from game station then take it back there.
If not use Microsofts 3yr return to base warranty and you'll get a reconned machine.

well on xbox website it says if you get 3 red lights (in a certain formation, as other formations may mean less serious problems) you are entitled to a free repair including free shipping to and from their repair centre. For other issues like a cd drive failing you would need to speak to your retailer, where u would most likely need to prove purchase etc
