i have a 1.4 spi
it has a straight through remus centre section, and de-cat,
therefore its really fookin loud.
It cuts out when coming to a halt at lights every now and again, i suspect its something to do with hardly any back pressure causing some sort of loss of vacuum under engine braking,
its not overheating and cutting out or anything like that.
I have a full mpi setup(head/loom/pump/ecu) that i could put on any time, would this make the problem any better or worse?
thanks for any comments/help

Doubt very much the exhaust is causing any problem like this, does your speedo work and is this the original engine?

original engine, speedo works fine, its eversince i de-cat'd it, its basically now a straight through pipe to the backbox.
its some sort of vacuum problem, since
de-cating its split a vac hose about 3 times.
it pops like fook when warm, and spits a few flames
