Just proves how much a shit sport it really is. What other sport has a skill level where a bloke who has never even held a rugby ball can have a top division side signing him upto play him?

Dwayne chambers must have achieved the necessary level in the skills of 'RUNNING' and 'HOLDING A BALL'

TBH though, he could probably play footy aswell as someone like Abonglahor who is basically just pace and gets the occasional good shot on goal.

He could easily play the game, provided he can catch, the guy is quite big, and catch the bastard if he gets clear through on the wing, can see why he's getting a trial

He could probably play football at a higher level than huddersfield tbh as ffs, dong is a professional and i would put money on him being better than him

he wasn't a good catcher at NFL, but they throw the ball about 40 yards and you have to run turn, jump and land properly with the ball whilst a monster is about to clean you out, so can understand why he was shit at that, as it's much harder to play than rugby

I don't agree with him walking straight into a trial, but hey ho, he has the speed which is all they are looking for, he could turn out to be a very good player, as he is quicker than most on the wing, and also bigger too

With our current crop of players, a one legged, blind bloke with no ears could play for Huddersfield

I think Abonglahor this season has proved my point in that past thread right.

I think he is quite a good player

I was reading something in the paper the other day by Wenger who said the first things he looks for in a player is pace & power, as everything else could be coached into someone over time, was going to put a pot up about it but couldnt be arsed to discuss it with you again

Pace and power is important, but I wouldnt say Fabregas has either of those in great abundance and he is probably Arsenals best player - so kind of goes against what Wenger is saying

The pace and power will get you into the positions needed, but if you dont know where these positions are and you dont have that natural touch or knowledge of then what to do with the ball then its not going to happen.

And if you could teach those things then every strong and fast person in the world (a lot of them out there) would be professional players.

I honestly think the Dwain Chambers thing is nothing but a publicity stunt for a Sport in decline

TBH the only thing its publicity for is his fight to be allowed to go to the Olympics. If people see he is willing to try other sports and put this drugs thing behind him then he'll hope they'll back him to go to China - thats basically why he is doing all this.
