i have a 8v my max speed in some places is 30 but it also changes to 40 and even 70 sometimes

depending where it is lol

just kidding

i havn't really raced any other corsa's but i belive i was once told the 8v is better off the mark then the 16v where ever it is true is another story

mine will be a tad lighter to as the back is stripped now

I own a sport, i got a shitty start, tried to floor it when pulling off at 1.5 rpm with a cheap cone filter which come with the car (no :lol But he only got a marginly better one. Anyways, we were as quick as each other in first, he gained about half a car in second, i pulled about 2 car lengths in 3rd, the forth just started to walk away

Both cars had filter and exhaust. That was not long after i had the car. Had a real problem with bogging due to that shit filter. I rekon it would be alot easier now as it pulls cleaner around the whole rev range with proper filter!

Doesnt always matter about Bhp it how it uses it really that sri might be better off the line upto 60 and the sport top end or it might have a different torque curve coz my mate found this in his zetec- against a Vtr. Right im not taking the p++s here i got my corsa 1.2 16v 0-60 down to 11.2 which i did nt think was bad and me missus was in the car too but after about 70 it looses power abit the engine has only done 42k tho and i have a KnN and straight thru must be the gearing

the sri 8v will be better off the line and some have no power steering to sap power and electric mirrors/ windows so will be lighter. But the 16v will be better top end yeah
