I wonder if anybody can help me.
My drive belt slips when the weather is terrible especially surface water. IT causes the battery light to come on briefly then off, but im worried incase it flies off and i brake down. It's fine when dry and only had a new belt on last year surely it can't be time for a new belt again?

may just need tightning, if it comes off the car wont stop it will just stop charging the battery, in which case you will have a good few miles to get home

it does seem to be on pretty tightly though, I have tried to pull it slightly and there doesnt seem to be much give in it at all. although i dont know how tight it should be on

i normally do them to about half inch each way
