my brakes have just been changed and i have cleaned all around the disc and pads but the brakes squeek/squeel when i am coming to a stop, also my car has just randomally gone slower, it used to lift and have a much better acceleration but now the revs drop extremely slowly and stay high. Any ideas?

Did you put copper grease on the back of the brake pads when you fitted them?

Not towards the disc!!!!

The back of the pad where it meets the caliper piston.

About £30 or so from Autovaux.

Sounds like it may be an ICV problem. Although on idle they usually rise and fall on their own when it's fucked.

Idle Control Valve, went on my Saxo. Cant remember the cost but it wasnt much.

[EDIT] - My brakes squeel too, and they have plenty of grease on them, just think its a thing some corsa brakes do. Was doing a search to see how others fixed it, but seems it was just a temp fix for a few days, then back to normal. Seemed mainly to be when braking softly aswell, not hard.

no when its idling its fine and normal, however when i rev it takes ages for them to fall (when i am moving obviously i am not a chav) and it just seems restricted.
