I really want to have car to work on as a project over the summer, have never worked on a car though before but am really eager 2 learn.

I want it to be extremely cheap and don't mind having to weld, cut, smooth or re spray or anything like that, i really want to get stuck in and build a car myself!

I really love the euro style, and want a car that could achieve this.

I have been thinking of a mk1 or 2 golf, or a maybe a mini. But I am 6'4 and doubt i would fit in one. I am only 19 so cant be a big engined car, as at the end of the summer I would want to drive it!!

Any help/ideas??!

Thanks, I was hoping to pay a bit less than 600 for the car as it is a complete project, and also really after a vw, there is just something about them which gives off the euro look!

I was hoping to possibly pick up a car 4 about 200 and literally start from scratch, is this relaistic, and should i maybe be looking at salvage cars??

Although, I don't want anything that will need VIC test (I think thats what its called)

Any advice appreciated!
