sold me old pc to a mate due to buying a new quad core system

i ran it with a radeon gfx card and my 32" hd and the screen was fine..

i kept the gfx card for my new pc and when my mates hd screen is plugged into the pc via vga its dead blurry..

any ideas why?

He doesn't have the correct resolution set. Check to see if the on board graphics are even capible of supplying the correct resolution for such a large display...

Also, does your mate have the same tv as you? TVs are designed to be viewed from about 1.5-2m so close up they usually look a bit shit.
